Optics

Holosun optic model numbers follow a consistent pattern. The prefix identifies the product line, and each digit position encodes a specific feature.

Prefix

HS	Holosun
HE	Holosun Elite

1st Digit: Reticle Type

Code	Meaning
4	2 MOA Dot only
5	Multi-Reticle System (MRS) with 65 MOA ring and 2 MOA dot. Options include dot only, circle-dot, or dot/circle/circle-dot depending on model.

2nd Digit: Accessories

Code	Meaning
0	Standard accessories (bolt-on mount, bikini lens covers)
1	Upgraded accessories (QD mount, flip-down lens covers, kill flash where applicable)

3rd Digit: Optic Type

Code	Meaning
0, 1, 6	30 mm tube sights
3, 5	20 mm sights
510	Pistol optics (exception)

Lasers

Laser model numbers use a similar prefix system. The first digit indicates how many components are included in the unit.

LS	Laser Sight
LE	Laser Elite

1st Digit: Component Count

Code	Meaning
1	1 laser. Select IR, red, or green
2	2 lasers. IR + select red or green visible laser
3	2 lasers + IR illuminator
4	2 lasers, IR illuminator + white light

Suffix Codes

Letters appended to the model number indicate specific features or housing types.

A	Bottom-mounted battery, proprietary mount
B	Side-mounted battery tray secured with two screws
C	Solar Failsafe (adds auto mode and solar power)
G	Side-mounted battery cap for toolless battery replacement
GL	G + low profile turrets (all models are L by default since 2018)
K	Sub-compact carry pistol optics
M	7075 aluminium housing, water resistant to 30 m for 30 minutes
O	Open circle reticle (e.g. HS407CO)
R	Rotary switch for brightness selection
T	Titanium housing
